#11901 Math Fluency

What is “fluency” in mathematics? (Spoiler Alert: It’s not how fast you can compute simple math facts.) And how do you help your math students become “fluent”? (Spoiler Alert: It’s not by using timed tests.) In this workshop, participants will explore several aspects of mathematical fluency and investigate teaching strategies that can help students develop fluency in meaningful ways that decrease math anxiety and increase mathematical understanding.

Note:Refunds will be issued only to participants who call the ROE office to cancel (5) working days before the date of the program. BHS ROE CO-OP participants will be charged if they do not follow this same cancelation procedure.
