The Mathematics on the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) is
challenging for even the best students. The questions expect students to demonstrate procedural fluency,
conceptual understanding, and problem-solving skills. Participants in
this workshop will examine sample IAR questions, investigate resources for similar problems, and explore
classroom tasks and strategies for helping ALL students improve their learning and their achievement.
