The Purpose:

Participants will use the research-based book “Building Thinking Classrooms” by Peter Liljedahl to learn how to turn their math classrooms into learner-centered, student-owned places of deep mathematical thinking. Participants will learn how to tie the 8 Mathematical Practices from the Illinois State Standards for Math to their Thinking Classrooms. Participants will receive the book “Building Thinking Classrooms” by Peter Liljedahl
