6-22-23 — #12561 Finding Time to Teach Writing

Date: June 22, 2023

The Purpose:

Writing is a skill your students will use for the rest of their lives. When students write daily in the classroom, it will help them master this craft and prepare them for life beyond the classroom. In addition, writing improves learning by consolidating information in long-term memory (Terada, 2021).
While research is heavy in supporting the need for daily K- 12 writing activities, finding time continues to be a barrier for teachers. Come spend the day and learn how to make writing a daily practice.

Audience: K-12 Teachers

Presenter: Dara Carr

Location: Bureau, Henry, Stark Regional Office of Education #28. Atkinson, IL

Time: 9:00am – 2:00pm

Professional Development Hours:  4.5

Cost: $150.00
