8-10-23 — #12573 An Introduction to Culturally Responsive Teaching

Date:
August 10, 2023

The Purpose:

The Danielson Group has added Culturally Responsive language to the most recent edition of their Framework for Teaching. ISBE adopted standards for “Culturally Responsive Teaching and Leading” in March 2021. And yet, there is still confusion about what Culturally Responsive Teaching really is – and what it is not. In this workshop, participants will have a discussion with their fellow educators and administrators to analyze and discover: What is Culturally Responsive Teaching? What isn’t it? How does Culturally Responsive teaching lead to improved student learning for all students? Why is it important to use Culturally Responsive instruction in Illinois schools?

Audience: K-12 Teachers and Administrators

Presenter: Marisa Romanelli

Location: Bureau, Henry, Stark Regional Office of Education #28. Atkinson, IL

Time: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Professional Development Hours:  4.0

Cost: $100.00
