The Purpose:

Teachers learn best from each other, and Junior High Mathematics offers unique challenges to teachers and their students. Moving from concrete to abstract thinking requires a special set of skills that is unlike any other subject or grade level. In this networking session, participants will share their best teaching techniques, dive into new research on teaching junior high math, discuss the latest technology, and break down the Illinois Assessment of Readiness by looking at sample questions, the Illinois Math Standards, and their school’s results!
