Weekly Teaching Tip: Refreshing Positive Classroom Management

Although this is a topic most commonly addressed at the beginning of the school year, I think it is a good idea to have a reminder in the spring. Many of us are feeling tired, frustrated, and at the end of our rope when it comes to student behavior. It is harder to remain calm and reasonable when faced yet again with the same tricks and trials from the same students. Sometimes it helps to take a deep breath and remind ourselves of the positive feelings we had at the beginning of the year. Below are a few thoughts about building a positive classroom climate to reflect on as we approach the last six weeks of the school year.
