The Purpose:

Educators will learn how to use film in the classroom to help with improving literacy skills. Take motivation to the next level in your classroom by moving your students beyond basic understanding to active comprehension, creative, critical thinking, and rich discussion using classic and contemporary film. This is not “throw in a movie” Friday. Innovative use of film can be used to support multiliteracies (reading, writing, discussion) within and across disciplines.
