The Purpose:

The Mathematical Practices and Next Generation Science Standards highlight key critical thinking skills and strategies that are essential to a student’s success in math and science courses. However, as teachers, we struggle with finding the time to explicitly teach these reasoning skills. In this workshop, we will examine and use adaptable reasoning strategies to improve students’ critical thinking skills.
