This workshop is specifically designed to discuss the expectations for teachers who will mentor high school students in the College and Career Pathway Endorsement program for Education.
The Cross-Sector Essential Employability Competencies (or Essential Skills) is a list of skills we can use as a guide to ensure that our students are College and Career Ready.  In addition to the Cross-Sector Skills, there are Human and Public Service competencies specifically for educational professionals.  In this workshop, we will take a closer look at these skills and discuss ways to focus on and encourage their development in our classrooms, leading to better-prepared students and a higher quality of instruction.
Participants will learn expectations for mentoring Education Pathway students, including instruction and assessment of the aforementioned skills.
