This PD is an exploration of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL). Think of it as a deep-sea dive into strategies that many teachers already use every day—this is not about adding more to your plate but honoring, surfacing, and strengthening practices you’re likely already doing. Together, we’ll chart new depths of SEL by navigating trusted resources, engaging in hands-on activities, and surfacing powerful ways SEL strengthens students, classrooms, schools, and communities.
Learning Objectives:
-Understand the definition and scope of SEL across student, teacher, and community contexts
-Participate in national CASEL-supported training for SEL integration
-Access free, classroom-ready SEL activities and routines
-Collaborate in teams to explore and plan classroom SEL implementation
