Bus Drivers

Bus Drivers

Participants for initial or refresher bus courses need to be registered prior to attending a course due to capacity limitations.
For the safety of all who attend the courses, participants must adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Use of personal protective equipment, including face coverings when entering the building and during the entire course.
  • Social distancing must be observed, as much as possible.
  • Guidelines for entering the school building where the class is being held.
This includes temperature checks, symptom screening, and/or self-certification prior to entering.

Class participants should reschedule themselves and should not attend the course
they are registered for if they are symptomatic or quarantined currently.
A full list of eligibility requirements to become a bus driver can be found on the Illinois Secretary of State website.
