La Moille's Allen Junior High 21st CCLC students spent the afternoon conducting stream monitoring for the Illinois RiverWatch. Students conducted habitat surveys, surveyed a creek bed, and collected and identified small stream organisms that will later be sent to the State of Illinois. The purpose of this project is to allow students the chance to enhance their science skills, while also experiencing a service learning project.
