The Cross-Sector Essential Employability Competencies (or Essential Skills) is a list of skills we can use as a guide to ensure that our students are College and Career Ready. In addition to the Cross-Sector Skills, there are seven sets of competencies based on career clusters. In this workshop, we will take a closer look at these skills and discuss ways to focus on and encourage their development in our classrooms, leading to better-prepared students and a higher quality of instruction in our content areas.
